Passive component suppliers Yageo and Holy Stone have both reported declined revenues for February as compared to the previous month due to decreased work days caused by the Lunar New Year holidays.

Yageo February sales reached NT$1.85 billion (US$61.11 million), down 21.4% sequentially but up 15.5% on year. Revenues for the first two months of 2014 totaled NT$4.21 billion, increasing 12.2% from a year earlier.

Orders from the PC, EMS, consumer electronics and retail channel sectors showed significant declines in February, Yageo said.

Holy Stone posted revenues of NT$1.24 billion for February, down 8.1% on month but up 25.3% on year. Accumulated sales for the January-February period reached NT$2.38 billion, increasing 10.1% from a year ago.
