High carbon ferrochrome is divided into high carbon ferrochrome, medium carbon ferrochrome, low carbon ferrochrome and micro carbon ferrochrome according to the carbon content. High carbon ferrochrome.
The main uses of high carbon ferrochrome (including remade ferrochrome) are :
(1) used as high carbon ball steel, tool steel and high speed steel alloy agent, improve the hardenability of steel, increase the wear resistance and hardness of steel;
(2) used as additives in cast iron, improve wear resistance and hardness of cast iron, and make cast iron have good heat resistance;
(3) Used as the raw material containing chromium for the production of si-cr alloy and medium, low and micro-carbon ferrochrome by slag-free method;
(4) Used as chromium-containing raw materials for electrolysis production of metallic chromium;
(5) Used as raw material for oxygen blowing stainless steel smelting.
